wanderlust

Recap of summertime suburbia.

My killer cute sis.
My father at a food shack next to the beach.

Cherry Glazerr

The flowers swinging in the summer wind in front of my house.

The view outside of my window is the local high school.

This is what true angst looks like.

Bird on a wire.

One of the days, we went to a Mexican restaurant that smells like vodka and spices.

They gave out free Mexican gum.

Room inspiration.

My mom doesn't ever want to be photographed, so here it is.

And that was a jumble of my dog days.

I'm saying goodbye to summer and hello to hIghschool.

thrifting

Today was my high school orientation and I had a major panic attack, but overall I'm pretty excited for the next year to alienate my life. Yay.

Everyone looks older.

Anyway I went to an old people thrift store. Almost everything on the shelves and racks were grandma styled clothing.

I found these shorts:
They're definetly classic 80s, acid wash shorts. A little too big, but hey. It's all good.

And this beige oversized sweater. It's too simple. I'll probably add more pins or something to it.

They costed 12$ all together (it was expensive for a thrift shop)

And last but not least:

This phenomenal 1932 hymn book with a picture of an old reverend. I have no idea who this is. I also don't plan to sing these songs anytime in the near future, but I might use the pages for collaging magazine photos onto.

Rev. Percy B. Crawford will be sitting on my shelf forever more.

That book was the price of 2$
The day was catastrophically normal.

Have a fantastic day

Fourth of July

As you may, or most likely not, know, I have been stuck at my dad's house, which is very empty and I haven't done much. Recently, my mother returned from her deployment in Maryland. Now I'm stuck at her apartment. Great

But my mom's apartment is a thing of technological wonder! She has a computer that I can download files from my very, verryy full SD card into her computer and post them on this blog.

The photos here are all from July 4th weekend. Most of them feature my dear friend Lily, who is at the height of being...strange:

... but so am I:

Anyway, here are some photos that i took then.

WARNING: THERE ARE OVER 100 PHOTOS SO SCROLL AT YOUR OWN PACE

This is what I wore to her house. A red, thrifted dress with tribal texture on it, an 80s style blouse that happens to be super bright pink with a lace collar, pink lace socks from Dollar Tree, and these pin-up, cherry red heels from Subculture.

My most iconic hair flip in the history of mankind.

The blouse reminds me of something that the ladies would wear in Edward Scissorhands.

A painting of victorian women trying to sleep that was in her house.

Her house looks like the cover of a fancy furniture magazine so prepare yourself for that.

and her backyard, which is on the St. Johns River and it's looking oh so gorgeous.

Eating icecream like a pro.

Follow her to the witches cave.

She also has a trampoline which is only dangerous when she is on it.

btw this is Florida so that's why it looks like were haunting a swamp.

Primal.

Thanks, thumb.

"Girl, you better get off mah trampoline."

Oh, a sword. Oh dear. My gosh. SAVE USSS!

See the resemblance? (click on the link)

She some how looks like a super hero here.

pOLITICAL POTATO.

Very proper.

The sky seems illustrated.

I can just hear Willow Smith singing "Whip My Hair"

I don't have any idea what she's doing here.

She told me to photograph her being dead, so here is her sleeping beauty pose.

My camera wasn't on the right setting so she just looks like a silhouette.

I'm not in a great looking condition. Please excuse the whole picture.

LANA

Every single time I see this house, it makes me want to film a movie in it. JUST LOOK AT THE 21ST CENTURY BEAUTYYYY.

technology and teenagers these days, right?

Her backyard just looks like a magical garden naturally. hehe I'm so jellly.

It looks better here.

Oops, forgot to exorise her here.

Sorry, got a little bit o' teenage AngST in mah eye.

Don't worry, she's just transforming into her true form as a Wildebeest. No worries.

"America"

When you got nobody so you gotta resort to a stuffed animal.

Drunk

If you've ever seen Aldred Hitchcock's The Birds, this was a similar experience.

She was hiding. Why? We'll never know.

She has a firework frog on her head.
