brown study

It's been about a month since we talked... I did not die from the hurricane (darn). I have another mood board for you kids... but wait! It's not just some pictures that have similar colors! I collected a bunch of items around ye ol' dwelling and created a physical mood board irl!

Prepare yourself for the stellar stuff. I promise I will never say that again, sorry.

I was trying to get a good angle but I got bad lighting instead... oops. And yes, I listen to Courtney Love. She has a frightening personality but the best style in the world.

The eiffel tower is from my mom a few years ago. I went through a phase where I wanted to be a fashion designer living in Paris, but that slowly faded. The pepsi bottle not only has a retro look, it is also the first time I drank pepsi. It's not bad. The collagey pink thing is a purse also from my mom. The weird circus box is from a trip to universal. It's not full of jellybeans, ha I ate all of those; it's full of mini plastic dinosaurs. The caution tape thingy is something I found on the ground in June to remember that day. The blue wrist bracelet is from Adventure Landing. There are tiny jewels from a dress that got to old and ripped to actually wear. The guitar pick is something I found on the floor of my bus during the haze of sixth grade. The broken necklace is something I've had forever, but one day it just became what it is now. It was too kawaii to throw out. There's dollar store lipstick somewhere in there, I really just needed a place to fill.

*takes a quick breath*

The frankenstein and punk patch are from a store in easy that I plan to do something awesome with (stay tuned). The butterfly patch is from WALMART BECAUSE I'M CHEAP. Um, the polaroid camera is my sister's,  but she let me take a few pictures with it and I asked to use it in this picture. My sister is the girl in the polaroid that is played on a paint sample. The vintage lady in a bronze looking... thing is something I stole from my mom. Sorry. The collage on a blue paint sample was made from a rookie collage kit. The red dots are stickers that I plan to use as makeup in the future, the series of black and white scenery photos are from a 2014 calendar. The printed tv is from google.com of course and last but not least the picture with words in the background is from an urban outfitters booklet that I write poetry in because I'm a hipster.

The dress originated from the depths of a Dillard's sale. It was 15 dollars and there's nothing wrong with it. The bottle full of sea glass in the back is something my mother brought back from her deployment in GTMO, the black mannequin neck figure is from a thrift shop? I actually don't remember but I though it was creepy so I threw it in.

Also, a week after the hurricane, I spiced up a regular robin blue leather moto jacket from a thrift shop with these cute roses and thorns inspired by Shantell Martin and tumblr. She doesn't paint flowers but I tried to follow her style. I hope I did a good job.

A terrible angle of the arm.

And I quick selfie to prove I'm alive.

School has been busy, that's why I haven't blogged in a while. I've also been planning my halloween costume which I'll post soon so watch out for that! Have a stellar weekend. (I know, I said stellar. I lied). Remember to stay safe!

Hurricane Matthew 🌫

Ah, the sweet aroma of death. Oh wait, that's just the Florida rain. They cancelled school for two days due to the inevitable demise of our glory state. There have been two hurricanes in the last month. The last one wasn't that big of a deal at all, but this one is big.

I've accepted my death, though. I'm ready for the sweet release!

But at least it gives me extra time to do my homework. Anyway, I may as well post photos that aren't mine but are still great.

All of you are invited to my funeral! There will be disco music, so don't worry. Just make sure you wear something stellar and have a groovy time!

Man Ray, 1932

Looks like Rodarte but isn't. I love the enchanting characteristics of it.

Bjork by Alexander McQueen ♥️

Frida Kahlo

I think I got this from Buzzfeed? I'm not sure but I like it. Don't question me.

And please play this at my funeral.

If any of these photos are yours please contact me so I can give you credit.

Have an astral hurricane of reverie.
