petrichor

I know it's been a while but whatever I had school.

Bye for now old friend, that's over. I just graduated from middle school with sorrow and yet tears of joy.  I'll be heading to high school next, then life, then death. That's how it works, right?

I have lots of memories of middle school. It was the start of my trench coat phase, hopefully the end. It's where I learned that I'm more awkward than I seem and that more people are darker than you could have ever dreamed. (That was an unintentional rhyme, but I think it's a sign that I should become a rapper. What do you think about that career choice, huh?)

I also learned about that whole reproduction thing in health class, but let's not go too far down that rabbit hole.

It's where I discovered Tavi Gevinson and my obsession for space *star trek theme plays* , the violin, and The Office. (Yes, this show.)

I also starting feeling the unending heartbreak of being a teenager.

On one end I can't wait for high school. New people. New rules. New... hair? And on the other end or hand or whatever object that you think is the coolest, I know it will be full of the same pain in the neck kind of stuff that comes from immature kids. But who am I to judge them? I'm pretty... unripe as well. That word is unsettling. I like it.

Being a teenager sucks but I love it.

To conclude all of that, I've been on the teenage mess of tumblr (I'm such a hoot!) and collected pictures of stuff. It's mostly 50s/60s paraphernalia.

Twiggy.

Credits to tumblr and several old timey people for taking some of these photos

Since I just moved into a new house (with stairs!!1!1!!!!) I have a blank room that is desperately in need of being covered in collages and posters. I'm thinking of buying magazines from decades ago, ripping out the best pages, and sticking them on the wall.

It's summer. I live in Florida. It is frequently 30078 degrees. Ew. I also have summer reading and although I'm a big fan of reading, I don't feel in touch with the selection of books chosen. I declare that every little kiddo moving on from middle school to high school should just watch The Twilight Zone and be done with everything.

Plus I'm thinking about getting a Polaroid camera... I don't know.
